Invest In Our Planet - Earth Day 2022
We are working to raise awareness around buying sustainable and ethical beauty products. We have chosen brands who are doing good for our planet and are contributing positive change. By choosing brands who take their ingredients from sustainable sources, who work to reduce their carbon footprint and who actively remove the use virgin plastic from their packaging, we can all be part of the change.
We can collectively power the movement towards protecting our environment, the choice is ours, the power lies with us and we have to invest in our planet, because its the only option we have.
Each year on April 22nd, millions of people around the world mark Earth Day to show support for the environment. Established in 1970 when Senator Gaylord Nelson had long been concerned about the deteriorating environment in the United States. In 1990 Earth Day went global after a major campaign for the planet, and is now widely recognised as the “largest secular observance in the world” says earthday.org.
Vogue says: “The theme for Earth Day 2022 is Invest In Our Planet – a call for governments, businesses and individuals to invest in a better future for the planet. “Governments can pass regulations, they can promote [a] green economy. We need to invest in innovators and innovation, but we need to do it the right way,” Rogers says. “[For] individuals it’s about investing your personal time, your political vote, investing in your community, investing your money into going green.”
This year, there is also a particular focus on sustainable fashion, with Earthday.org launching a petition calling for change within the industry – as well as legislation to accelerate the action that needs to take place.” https://www.vogue.co.uk/arts-and-lifestyle/article/earth-day
This year, to help raise awareness to our audience, we launched a competition where our customers could win “A Personalised Head-to-Toe Skin Awakening Bundle Worth £250”. Our ethical and sustainable beauty products would make up their bundle, tailored to the winners skin and needs. We also offered anyone who entered the competition, 30% off orders during the weekend the competition ended.
Over 5,000 people were reached with our competition, and we will continue to share our passion and love for doing good for our planet.
